William Carey is rightfully given a lot of credit as being a founding father of modern missions. One of the earthly cornerstones to his success was the publishing of his pamphlet known as “Enquiry” on May 12, 1792. The full title of the pamphlet, An Enquiry into the Obligations of Christians, to Use Means for the Conversion of the Heathens outlined why Protestants should focus on foreign missions and had a profound effect.
