One of the most prolific Christian writers of the 20th century you may have not heard of was G.K. Chesterton. When I say “prolific” I mean 100 books, 200 short stories, and over 4,000 essays (that’s essays and not just articles). He authored the Father Brown mystery series and contributed to well over 200 books in addition to those he authored. A devout Roman Catholic, his books influenced men like Gandhi and C.S. Lewis and were full of witty sayings and humor. One of my favorite quotes is “Impartiality is a pompous name for indifference which is an elegant name for ignorance.” I had to read that 2-3 times before I got it. He died in London, England on June 14, 1936.
