A Greek monk named Regulus saw in a dream that the relics of the Apostle Andrew were going to be moved from his church in Patras, Greece to Constantinople. Regulus absconded with the sacred bones and fled to Scotland where he was shipwrecked on October 29, 345 at the site that would become the seat of the church in Scotland. This is all that is left of the Church of St. Andrew built near the site of the wreck.
